Challenged Athletes Foundation

Join me in supporting CAF!

To my dear friends and family,

This weekend I will be joining a small brigade of wounded veterans that is being deployed to Orlando's Ft. Wilderness Campground to infiltrate the 2009 Ironman 70.3 Florida triathlon. Their mission? To conquer the challenging course while raising funds for other wounded comrades. Their leader? Former Army commander David Rozelle, who led troops in combat in Iraq both before and after losing a leg when his Humvee hit a land mine.

"We're all doing this for the brave soldiers who continue to come back from the war with serious injuries," says Rozelle, still an active duty Army Major and triathlete who helped start the Challenged Athletes Foundation's (CAF) Operation Rebound program. It is so meaningful to me to race for such a great cause!

CAF raises money to help people with physical disabilites pursue an active lifestyle through physical fitness and athletics. CAF’s mission is clear: give those with the desire to live active, competitive lifestyles every opportunity to compete in the sports they love.
